Hospital Manager

Sue Nines - Hospital Manager

Sue NinesHi! I'm Sue and I am the Hospital Manager at the Country Doctor. I have been here for over 13 years now but it seems like yesterday! I don't know where time goes. I have done every job at the Country Doctor sometime in my 13 years and have enjoyed each one of them. I really enjoy my current position because it's easy. Yes, easy because the staff and doctors are all wonderful people. Each one of them have a special quality about them that contributes to the Country Doctor. I  feel blessed that I work with a great group of people.

On a personal note I have been married to Dave for 22 years and we have 2 boys, 1 daughter-in-law and a new grandson! We also have many pets including a horse, 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Sometimes clients that have been coming to us for many years are surprised when they see me because they don't think I work here anymore! I do but I spend alot of time in the office (there is so much to do behind the scenes!) but I still love to work with the pets that walk through our doors and their owners.

Veterinarian Assistants

Christine Warner - Veterinarian Assistant

Christine WarnerHi I'm Christine, and I am a Vet Assistant here at Country Doctor. I have been here for 3 1/2 years, but I have been in the field for 13 1/2 years. I started in the kennel position and gained knowledge and skills to work my way up over the years. I am currently taking on-line classes to achieve my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. Over the past 13 years I have attended several Continuing Education classes garnishing me many certificates in my field. Some of which are K-9 behavior, zoonotic, client education. and Radiology.

I met and married my husband Paul in Germany and moved to the States at the age of 22. We decided to start a family, having our 2 sons, Mark and Jamie. Our current family consists of 4 dogs Bwaster, Lucy, Star and Crook. We have 1 cat Tails and 4 Birds, Buddy, Ziefield, Peeper and Oliver. Six of my pets which I have adopted over the 13 years in this profession. Besides pets, I also enjoy getting outside and photographing the nature and wildlife that surrounds me. Never having pets when I was a child, this occupation allows me the chance to be surrounded by animals of all ages and sizes that are near and dear to my heart at any given time! This profession continually allows me the opportunity for growth and advancement of my knowledge and skills, and for that I am very grateful.

Vanessa Dragon

Hi! I'm Vanessa. I started working at the Country Doctor in July 2011 and shortly after started working at the new Geneva Veterinary Clinic. I love both sites and eveyone that I work with. I graduated from Great Lakes Institute of Technology in April 2011 with a Veterinary Assistants Certificate. I learned the majority of my skills there and have furthered my experience and skills here at the Geneva Clinic.

The reason I choose this career path is because of the kind, intelligent and affectionate care a veterinarian gave to my first "fur kid", Zoe. I lost her but I discovered that I wanted to duplicate the same kind of affection and intelligence and the passion grew inside me. I one day hope to continue my education to become a Veterinary Technician. I am very happy to be a part of a caring staff and to help every "fur child" that graces our doors of Geneva Veterinary Clinic.

As a side note, I live with my boyfriend, Allen, and our 4 "fur kids"; 2 cats-Apollo and Kirby(newly adopted)! and also 2 ferrets-Dooka and Milly my darlings!
