I am an Ashtabula County native. My family has been here since the 1800’s. They came here to farm and raise their families in the beautiful wooded North Country of Ohio. After graduating from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978 I decided that my ancestors had the right idea and I too returned home to raise a family and practice veterinary medicine.

  • Ashley Parker
    Ashley Parker
    General Manager

Hello, Ashley here! I am nearing a 19 year anniversary as a Country Doctor affiliate. It’s been a fun filled 19 years and I honestly wouldn’t change a thing! I have connected, empathized and cared about animals big and small ever since I can remember so I am right where I belong. Bonus: I couldn’t have been luckier to find such an amazing work family to spend my days with. I am here, there and everywhere as far as my current status and responsibilities go. I plug in where I am needed and do many management tasks in-between.
My down time is spent with my family. I married my high school sweetheart (Tom). We have two pretty awesome kiddos: Dawlton (12) and Korra (7). We share a fairly large extended family of rescue babies: 2 Rottie brothers Hardee & Reuben (5), Pittie mix Walter (8), 6 cats: Opy (13½), Tiny (12½), Olive (10), Worm (2½), Marvin (2) and Ricky Bobby (1½). Our door is open for pets that need a fun, loving place to reside while we help them enter the next chapter in hopefully finding their forever home. The kids are always excited when they hear Mom is bringing something new home.
My time at Country Doctor has been beyond rewarding. The patients and owners I have met and bonded with over the years is one I treasure most.

  • Our vet was at a conference and unfortunately didn't leave a recommended vet to use when my cat suddenly stopped eating and acting funny. Trusted online reviews and went to this one and glad we did! They are caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional and quickly (and accurately) diagnosed my cat as having the same unusual problem she'd had just 10 months prior. Wonderful experience. They love animals and people and it shows in everything they do.
